ted baker peep toes

I’m officially kicking off summer in these bright blue, new to me, Ted Baker peep toe heels. I hunted these bad boys at the Salvation Army at Broadway and Montrose in Chicago. They are in near perfect condition. If they were ever worn, it was only around someone’s house just before they were vetoed and donated – why????? One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure. Literally.

There are so many things I love about these shoes – the vibrant color, the tiny platform, and the intricate little details. It’s always about the details. I love the criss cross over the toe (very flattering especially for those of us that don’t have perfect toes), the slight platform, and the scalloped heel shape.

I threw on two outfits that make the most of these shoes. For a dressy look I paired them with a thrifted Cato dress. Yes, Cato. While this brand doesn’t have the best rep for stylishness or quality, we have a motto at THS – if it’s cute, it’s cute. It was $7 and hits two hot trends this season –  bold floral print and ruffles. Well, one big ruffle anyway.

For the casual look I paired them with acid washed jeans and white v neck tee. Distressed jeans are errrrwhere, so I opted for acid washed to mix it up. I added a tiny structured Frankitas clutch to ‘talk’ to the shoes.

When I initially put this outfit on, the shoes and clutch didn’t jive as well as I wanted them to color-wise. So, I added a small blue choker, and by choker, I mean a piece of string to pull it all together. If your look doesn’t come together quite how you want, just improvise until you find something that works.

While I adore these shoes, I’m not much of a heel wearing chick these days. So, I’m listing them in our online closet in hopes that they can find a new home and live their best life. If you’re a size 7.5 it’s your lucky day – click here to make them yours!

I encourage you to hunt for similar items at your local thrift or second hand store. However, if online shopping is more your thing…
